Our History

Established in 1981, as the exclusive distributor of GfA industrial door drives and Simu tubular motors the business began in Coventry supplying the UK door manufacturing industry.

Due to rapid growth the company moved to premises in Warwick but soon out grew this site and moved in June 1989 to its current Head Office in Warwick.

In 2000 a northern office was opened to service our growing number of customers in the region. In 2004 due to continued growth the company expanded its distribution capabilities with the acquisition of a new warehouse situated close to the Head Office.

Over the years we have developed a high level of expertise and knowledge of the GfA and Simu range and worked in partnership to develop new products to meet our specific market demands.
As our product range expanded and developed we have added top brand accessories, such as Fraba optical safety edges and Timmer safety brakes.

Our success to date has been based on continual product development, coupled with maintaining our focus on providing market leading customer support and service.

During our time in business we have developed a tension shading system (TESS) for operating retractable fabric sun screens on horizontal and sloping glazing and a smoke curtain system (SAC100) and have established a division solely dedicated to Solar and Smoke Systems: www.gdsolarcontrol.com and www.gdsmokecontrol.com
