Commercial grilles and shutters use tubular motors built into the roller barrel to minimize space requirements. By their nature they are short term rated for operation a few times per day.

Tube motors are available with an integral manual override and come in three ranges, according to door size and weight:

• Type 5
• Type 6
• Type 8/9
