Sectional Overhead Door Drives

Spring balanced sectional overhead doors rely on a counter balance spring to support the door weight which is attached to the drum shaft.

Non-balanced sectional overhead doors use drives which are capable of lifting the whole weight of the door and incorporate a safety brake to prevent the door falling back in the event of a component failure.
